Millions of people rely on our network. For business. For leisure. For living. Keeping London’s growing population on the move takes billions of pounds - and a wealth of expertise, like yours.

Right now, we’re delivering one of the world’s largest programmes of transport capital investment. You’ll bring the innovative thinking, proactive attitude and financial expertise to make it all possible.

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in challenging perceptions about public sector finance and the role it can play. You’ll also bring the courage to challenge the business about how we are performing.

A true business partner, you'll manage a customer focused finance team dedicated to driving TfL to achieve strategic goals. It’s about making sure every decision is well planned and executed, minimising risk and using resources in the most effective way.

You may find yourself partnering any one of a range of diverse teams. These might be from our Major Capital Projects directorate and could include London Underground Major Capital Projects; Surface Transport Major Capital Projects; Major Projects Directorate Planning & Reporting; Operations; Assets and Engineering; or Renewals and Enhancements Capital Projects. Alternatively, you may partner with a Professional Services team such as Technology Projects (including Oyster card) or Customer & Stakeholder.

Whichever team you manage and inspire, you'll deliver a complete set of finance services. Everything from supporting strategic decisions, through to planning, budgeting, forecasting, business and financial performance management, and the accounting.

Bringing a proactive, collaborative approach to everything you do, you’ll share your findings with

senior operational and project directors and managers. Thanks to you, they’ll understand all the implications to TfL and their business area.

To be equal to this exciting challenge, you’ll need proven experience and understanding of finance and accounting. This includes knowledge of investment appraisal tools and methodologies and their application to a complex range of activities. Equally important is the gravitas to build strong relationships, and the confidence to challenge Business Managers in the name of driving outstanding performance.
