A leading organisation operating within a highly regulated environment is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to support the delivery and sustainment of critical technology platforms. Working alongside engineering, project, and operational stakeholders, you'll play a key role in ensuring systems meet security and compliance requirements throughout their lifecycle.
Your new role
As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you'll provide security engineering and assurance expertise across complex technology environments. You will assess system designs, conduct security and compliance reviews, develop accreditation artefacts, and work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support secure delivery outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting security assessments, compliance reviews, and gap analyses
- Developing and maintaining security accreditation documentation, risk assessments, and assurance artefacts
- Evaluating security controls against frameworks such as ISM, Essential Eight and NIST standards
- Reviewing technical documentation and design disclosures to assess security compliance
- Communicating technical findings and recommendations to project teams and senior stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience working with security frameworks including ISM, Essential Eight, NIST 800-53 or similar
- Strong understanding of risk management, compliance and security assurance activities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business-focused recommendations
- Current NV1 Security Clearance
