We are looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to take ownership of delivering a portfolio of technology and business projects for a small, financial services business.

This is a hands-on delivery role with a strong project focus. You will be responsible for taking projects from initiation through to successful delivery, ensuring commitments made to the Steering Committee are delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed scope and quality.

Reporting directly to the CIO, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, technology partners and SaaS providers to drive delivery and ensure projects achieve their intended business outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of technology and business projects.
• Establish clear project plans, milestones, dependencies, budgets and delivery outcomes.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with commitments presented to and approved by the Steering Committee.
• Provide clear and concise reporting to the CIO and Steering Committee, including progress, risks, issues, dependencies and decisions required.
• Proactively identify and manage delivery risks, issues and project dependencies.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, business SMEs, technology teams and external vendors.
• Manage SaaS implementation and integration projects, ensuring vendors deliver against agreed commitments.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical delivery plans.
• Maintain strong project governance while remaining pragmatic and hands-on in a small-business environment.
• Manage scope, timelines, budgets and change throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive project meetings, workshops, actions and decision-making.
• Ensure appropriate testing, training, implementation and change activities are completed.
• Take ownership of successful project outcomes rather than simply managing project administration.

About You

You will be an experienced Project Manager / Delivery Lead who is comfortable being accountable for delivery and operating with senior stakeholders.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Strong experience delivering SaaS-based technology projects and implementations.
• A proven track record of taking projects from initiation through to successful implementation.
• Strong project management fundamentals across scope, schedule, budget, risk, issues and dependencies.
• Experience working with Steering Committees, executives and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong vendor and third-party management experience.
• The ability to challenge vendors and stakeholders when delivery is at risk.
• A pragmatic, commercially minded approach to project delivery.
• The confidence to operate autonomously and take ownership in a relatively lean environment.
• Experience working across business and technology teams.

This position is based in Sydney CBD, and in office 3 days a week.
