About the role:



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high caliber professional to join Citco's investor AML team in our Sydney office. The candidate will contribute to overseeing the strategic direction of the Australia investor AML CDD programme and AML control framework within which the firm should operate, ensuring regulatory compliance. This role will report directly to the local Senior Vice President, investor AML.




Responsibilities



Regulatory & Risk Management:

• Contribute to assessment of AML regulatory requirements / changes across multiple jurisdictions (as directed)


• Stay current with AML regulations, industry trends, and emerging risks

Business Development:

• Support our Business Development Team(s) with AML preparation for RFPs / sales pitches (as applicable)


• Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Ongoing Client Management:

• Coordinate client due diligence meetings including presentation preparation / delivery and oversight of sampling


• Maintain list of all client due diligence engagements (and status) relating to Sydney clients 1/3


• Build and foster relationships with stakeholders at clients

Outsourcing Oversight:

• Coordinate investor AML activities with outsourced service provider


• Act as point of escalation for AML queries from outsourced service provider


• Contribute to outsourcing oversight reviews / sampling

Audit, Compliance & Risk:

• Support clients / Sydney office with AML regulatory inspections, Fund Audits, Client due diligence


• Partner with Clients, MLRO's, shareholders, regulators, auditors and other external and internal parties as required, acting as primary point of escalation for policy related matters

Policy and Procedures:

• Contribute to the development and formulation of new AML policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and CFS Global standards (as directed).


• Contribute to the revision and updating of existing policies and procedures (as directed).


• Contribute to the secure maintenance of local AML (Anti-Money Laundering) policies and procedures.

Training & Development:

• Prepare / contribute to learning and development training material for global investor AML teams.


• Deliver training to global investor AML (as directed).

Project Management:

• Collaborate on AML projects as required

Qualifications

• 4-7 years AML related work experience in a financial services institution, preferably Funds Industry;


• Good knowledge of AML Regulations and AML practice


• Expertise and understanding of the Transfer Agency business and client servicing.


• Knowledge of regulations impacting the financial services


• AML, Compliance or other relevant qualification an advantage


• Demonstrated leadership experience coupled with superior communication skills (oral and written) with an ability to influence / persuade.


• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities


• Strong self-motivation and capacity to maintain productivity without direction
