Job Description
We are looking for a
Payroll Accountant with strong communication, organisational, analytical, and technology skills to join Euroclear's Finance Division within the
Group Accounting Services (GAS) department. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to financial accounting processes while developing expertise in HR and payroll accounting. You will work in an international environment and contribute to a variety of accounting activities, collaborating with stakeholders across different functions and countries.

Main roles
- Develop your accounting expertise across several areas of finance accounting including the HR and payroll impacts
- Be the link & interface between HR payroll and GL accounting teams (translating HR information into financial language & vice-versa)
- Perform general HR accounting activities (analysis payroll files, mapping of payroll codes to B/S & P/L, IAS19 pension reconciliation)
- Contribute to month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, analytical reviews and explanation of key account movements of the HR related accounts
- Prepares, records, analyses and reports HR accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles (HR accruals, HR recharges, reconciliations)
- Identify areas for process improvement and take action to make it a success
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of HR accounting journal entries
- Contribute to the reconciliation and quality review of balance sheet accounts with HR data received to support robust financial reporting
- Get involved in HR accounting and transformationinitiatives that help modernise processes, improve efficiency and raise the quality of our finance operations
- Build awareness of how technology is transforming finance, with opportunities to learn and contribute to digital tools, automation initiatives and data-driven ways of working
- Collaborate with HR and finance colleagues across countries, gaining valuable international exposure and contributing to a team-oriented culture
- Interact with internal and external auditors for all HR accounting topics
Qualifications - Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Several years of experience in a GL or payroll accounting role , preferably in an international environment
- Good understanding of payroll concepts
- Comfortable with Excel; experience or interest in ERP systems, data tools or digital finance solutions is a plus
- Strong communication and analytical skills, a proactive mindset and enthusiasm for working with colleagues from different countries and backgrounds. Ability to interact with different stakeholders is key.
