Senior Town Planner
Parramatta | $86ph + Super | 12-Month Contract (possible extension) | Government | Work from home options

A fantastic opportunity has arise for an experienced Town Planner to support in planning of local residential areas across Sydney. This is both an exciting and rewarding role supporting the growth of developments across the city.

Main duties:

• Prepare Statements of Environmental Effects (SEEs) and Review of Environmental Factors (REFs) to support project approvals
• Provide planning advice and guide projects from inception through to approval
• Strong background with residential development assessments (essential)
• Experience with Part 5 assessments and State Significant Development (SSDs) is highly regarded
• Collaborate within a team environment to achieve project milestones and deliverables
• Liaise and engage with stakeholders across Homes NSW, external agencies, and other Government bodies
• Represent the organisation at internal and external meetings

Experience and qualifications:

• 5+ years experience as a Town Planner or similar experience
• Tertiary qualifications in Urban/Regional Planning or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
• Eligibility for membership with a relevant industry association (e.g. PIA)
• Experience within local or state government is desirable, but not essential
