Our client is a well-established multinational organization undergoing significant digital transformation and cloud modernization initiatives. They are seeking a hands-on GCP DevOps Engineer to join their Cloud & Platform Engineering team.

This role will be responsible for designing, automating, securing, and optimizing cloud-native infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate will work closely with software engineering, platform, and architecture teams to build scalable cloud solutions, streamline deployment processes, and enhance operational efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Manage containerized environments using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application deployments.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
• Configure and maintain GCP networking components, including VPCs, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Manage and optimize Cloud SQL and related database services.
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and security.
• Manage IAM permissions and enforce cloud security best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, reliability, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to support cloud-native application delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering role.
• Experience with:
• GKE and/or Cloud Run
• CI/CD pipelines
• Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
• Docker and Kubernetes
• GCP networking (VPC, Load Balancer, Firewall)
• Cloud SQL or similar database platforms
• Scripting or programming experience in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, and monitoring tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud certifications such as:
• Professional Cloud Architect
• Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
• Professional Cloud Network Engineer
• Experience with cloud cost optimization (FinOps).
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms or Google AI services.
