A leading Chinese investment bank is seeking an experienced Head of FICC Cross-Border Investment to lead and oversee the firm's cross-border investment activities within the Fixed Income business. This role is responsible for establishing a robust cross-border investment framework, formulating investment strategies, building and managing cross-border portfolios, and driving portfolio optimization to enhance returns.
The successful candidate will have deep expertise in global FICC markets, strong proprietary investment capabilities, and a proven track record in large-scale capital management. This is a leadership role requiring the ability to manage a team, coordinate across departments, and navigate complex regulatory and market environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee FICC cross-border investment activities; establish a comprehensive cross-border investment framework; formulate cross-border investment strategies; lead the construction of cross-border investment portfolios; and manage investment decisions, trade execution, and portfolio optimization to enhance portfolio returns.
- Closely monitor global market dynamics; oversee research on global macroeconomics, cross-border markets, and offshore instruments; identify investment opportunities in global bond markets; explore new profit opportunities; develop new investment products; and pursue diversified cross-border investment approaches and business models.
- Track changes in offshore bond issuance and investment regulatory policies; oversee cross-border investment risk management; establish risk warning and hedging mechanisms; manage currency, interest rate, and cross-border policy risks; and ensure the stable operation of investment portfolios.
- Lead the FICC cross-border investment team to achieve performance targets; engage with global market investors and develop business partnerships; and coordinate cross-departmental business collaboration.
Candidate Requirements:
- Master's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of global bond investment experience at a major securities firm, international investment bank, or other reputable financial institution; familiarity with global FICC market rules, cross-border investment instruments, and regulatory policies; demonstrated ability to make independent investment and research decisions, perform asset allocation, and provide investment leadership; prior offshore work experience is preferred.
- Strong past investment performance; experience managing large-scale capital of USD 500 million or more, or experience in offshore interest rate derivatives or MBS investments, is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of team management experience; outstanding coordination and risk control capabilities.
