Our client is a leading publicly funded tertiary education institution in Hong Kong, renowned for its strong emphasis on applied research, innovation, and industry collaboration. They are hiring Human Resources Manager to join their Office.
HR Manager
Reporting to senior members of the Human Resources Office, you will:
- Provide front-line, one-stop HR support to designated client groups and departments.
- Support the implementation and administration of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives covering:
- Recruitment and selection
- Appointment, promotion, transfer and redeployment
- Compensation and benefits administration
- Performance management and staff appraisal
- Staff development and training
- Employee relations, disciplinary and termination matters
- Manage assigned HR projects and subject areas independently with minimal supervision.
- Partner closely with managers and staff on HR-related matters and provide professional advice and support.
- Coordinate and provide secretariat support to committees and working groups, including meeting coordination, preparation of committee papers, minute-taking, and follow-up actions.
- Mentor and guide junior HR team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Undertake other duties and projects as assigned by management.
The successful candidate should possess:
- A recognized university degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of solid HR management experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
- Well-rounded exposure to multiple HR functions, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, and staff development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in committee secretariat support and preparation of reports and meeting documentation.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
- Good computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A positive, proactive, and service-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork and professionalism.
