Key Responsibilities
Associates are core members of deal teams and work closely with Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents, and Financial Analysts. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing, analyzing, and explaining historical and projected financial information
Building and reviewing detailed financial models
Coordinating and performing business and financial due diligence
Preparing confidential information memoranda, management presentations, pitch materials, and other client deliverables
Preparing valuation analyses and supporting negotiations with creditors, shareholders, management, and other stakeholders
Leading day-to-day execution of live transactions and marketing processes
Building and maintaining direct relationships with clients, counterparties and professional advisors
Supervising and mentoring junior team members
Assisting in business development, origination, and the marketing of new engagements
Required Qualifications
Prior working experience of at least 4 years, preferably in investment banking, restructuring, leveraged finance, special situations, or a related capital markets or advisory role
Strong academic track record from a reputable university
Demonstrated interest in financial restructuring, capital solutions, and complex transactions
Strong understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
Excellent quantitative, financial, and analytical skills
Strong LBO and DCF modelling capabilities
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Strong work ethic
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English
