At DBS, The Equity Capital Markets Group provides equity funding solutions to our corporate clients in the region, and acts as an intermediary between issuers and our investing clients. We advise and sponsor our clients in their equity fund-raising exercises in connection with their listing ambitions on regional stock exchanges. We help our clients to raise equity funds through primary offering and/or secondary offering of shares and REITs, as well as pre-IPO platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bookbuilding, pricing, and share allocation strategies for equity transactions
• Underwrite and manage syndication or capital risk for high-stakes transactions
• Advise corporate clients and ECM originators on market windows, pricing tactics, and investor feedback
• Serve as the lead point of contact for joint bookrunners and co-managers at peer institutions
• Maintain direct relationships with syndicate desks at major institutional asset managers and hedge funds, as well as the bank's internal distribution channels
• Assist with ECM origination initiatives where appropriate especially in areas such as recommending on marketing strategies, investor targeting and potential launch structure and timetable
• Mentor and supervise junior bankers, ensuring flawless execution of marketing materials and data analytics
• Track secondary market trends, competitor activity, and investor appetite to advise corporate clients
• Coordinate legal, regulatory, and internal risk requirements throughout the transaction lifecycle

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Equity Syndication, or Institutional Equity Sales
• Proven track record of leading and pricing successful public equity offerings and block trades
• Good level of connection with a broad base of equity investors preferred
• Active, or the ability to obtain relevant HKSFC Type 1, 4, 6 licenses within 3 months from joining
• Expert-level negotiation, real-time risk assessment, deep macroeconomic awareness, and advanced communication
• Advanced utilization of Bloomberg, Dealogic, and proprietary bookbuilding software
• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and English
