A growing Trust & Corporate Service Provider with regulated entities across multiple jurisdictions is seeking an experienced Compliance Policy, Regulatory Affairs & Governance Manager to join its Hong Kong office.
This is a highly visible role focused on regulatory engagement, policy development, governance oversight and cross-jurisdiction coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with regulators, compliance stakeholders, business teams and external advisers to ensure governance frameworks and policies remain aligned with evolving regulatory expectations.
This opportunity is well suited to candidates who enjoy interpreting regulations, developing practical compliance frameworks and supporting senior-level governance initiatives. It is not a transaction-processing or pure KYC-focused position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ongoing review and enhancement of compliance policies and procedures across regulated entities.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess potential business and governance impacts.
- Translate regulatory requirements into practical policies, guidance and internal controls.
- Act as a key liaison for regulatory enquiries, inspections and communications.
- Support regulatory submissions, license maintenance and remediation projects.
- Prepare regulatory correspondence, governance reports and board-level materials.
- Coordinate governance arrangements including board and committee meetings.
- Draft agendas, board packs, resolutions, minutes and action trackers.
- Work closely with senior management, compliance stakeholders and external advisers on policy implementation and risk matters.
- Deliver compliance and regulatory awareness initiatives across the organisation.
Requirements
- University degree in Law, Compliance, Risk, Governance, Corporate Secretarial or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in compliance policy drafting, regulatory affairs or governance functions.
- Experience interacting with regulators and managing regulatory enquiries or inspections.
- Exposure to offshore jurisdictions such as BVI, Cayman Islands and Hong Kong.
- Experience within regulated financial services, fiduciary, trust, fund administration, professional services, law firms or risk advisory environments.
- Excellent English drafting and communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and project coordination capabilities.
- Chinese language ability preferred.
