Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the annual unclaimed property compliance reporting process across the Summer, Fall, and Spring reporting cycles for U.S. entities.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to engagement budgets, state due diligence requirements, and statutory filing deadlines.
  • Prepare, review, and file annual unclaimed property reports across multiple U.S. jurisdictions in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Reconcile client databases to accurately track reported, resolved, and future-due unclaimed property balances.
  • Process payment requests, perform monthly bank reconciliations, and support other payment-related activities.
  • Research and interpret unclaimed property/escheatment laws across all U.S. jurisdictions, including dormancy periods, exemptions, due diligence, and remittance requirements.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and property owners by providing timely project updates and resolving queries.
  • Organize, maintain, and manage client documentation, PBC (Prepared by Client) files, and supporting compliance records.
  • Support unclaimed property audits, voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs), and other state compliance initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members by providing training, reviewing work, and supporting their professional development while contributing to process improvements and other assigned projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in U.S. unclaimed property (escheatment) reporting and compliance.
  • Experience with FSITrack or similar unclaimed property management software is preferred.
  • General knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Strong understanding of unclaimed property laws and reporting requirements across multiple U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with automation and analytics tools such as Alteryx, along with familiarity with AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT) and other productivity technologies preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and interact with clients professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, adapt to changing business needs, and work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
