The Role - Accounting & Administrative Responsibilities
- Reviewing and processing expense claims from vendors and staff members.
- Creating journal entries, maintaining financial records, and reconciling accounts for our organization and its Singapore branch.
- Handling invoicing and conducting reconciliation between intercompany transactions.
- Overseeing remittance operations for all bank accounts.
- Assisting with tax filings and payments.
- Collaborating with various departments to provide essential data for project management, budget analysis, and related tasks.
- Undertaking miscellaneous ad-hoc assignments as required.
- Financial Reporting
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for our organization, and supporting the preparation of consolidated financial statements following Japanese Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (JGAAP).
- Collaborating closely with external auditors and IPO consultants to compile the annual securities report, ensuring compliance with the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (FIEA) regulations.
Your Skills - Align with the organization's vision, mission, goals, and values.
- Embody and uphold the Guiding Principles and maintain a high standard of ethical conduct and trustworthiness.
- Preferably possess more than two years of experience in accounting or financial reporting adhering to Japanese Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (JGAAP). Experience in a company involved in IPO preparations or a publicly listed firm, as well as familiarity with IFRS, is advantageous.
- A proficiency level of Bookkeeping Skills Test, 2nd grade or higher (日商簿記2級以上), is a positive factor.
- Demonstrate passion, ambition, and a strong commitment to achieving goals even in challenging circumstances.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Fluent in both English and Japanese.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Spreadsheet.
