Job Description
Cover the entire Japan office Security division, setting up policies, leading hands-on teams, and ensuring a strongest-in-kind IT security setup!

Roles/Responsibilities

• Working together with the Group and Regional CSOs and company's CEO to implement the Japan Security Operating Model.
• Advise senior management in the various entities on broad security matters, including IT Security and Operational Security and Risk.
• Lead initiatives regarding information privacy and identity access management, as well as forensic security and threat management.
• Lead a diverse portfolio of security related projects, with internal and external resources.
• Develop controls for a strong understanding of and compliance with the security policies from the business side.
• Ensure company remains compliant with Japan's regulations and standards, and communicate with audit teams when necessary.
• Manage overall security strategy, budget, and team hiring.

Required skills

• 10+ years of experience in leading role in (cyber)security or IT security.
• Experience leading a team in an IT Security role, ideally in a global organization
• Prior experience reporting into CEO, COO or similar
• Experience communicating with regulators in Japan (JFSA)
• Certification such as CISA, CISM, CISSP etc
• Native Japanese speaker + intermediate level English or higher
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral

Preferred skills

• Experience working with a distributed or remote team
• Strong knowledge of the various security frameworks and tools in the current market, and which suit best for which needs
• Background in finance or insurance is helpful

• Interest to keep up with the latest trends in (cyber)security
