Job Description:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Junior HR Business Partner for Tokyo Office
  • Generalized HR support for Tokyo office supporting senior HR Business Partner
  • Benefits and Comp – responding to day-to-day queries
  • Japan regulatory compliance
  • Certification Letters  – visa, employment certification
  • Processing Tokyo HR invoices for payment (recruitment fees, insurance, HireRight, legal fees)
  • Ownership Visa Process for Japan mainly but partnering with the regional Analyst when required
  • Be involved in planning employee engagement events and logistics in Japan
  • Audits/ Census Requests
  • Ad hoc Projects and Reporting


  • Regional role
  • Supporting the team responsibility on Onboarding and Offboarding across APAC
  • Able to support preparation quarterly Board Decks
  • Be part of the global project team for WorkDay
  • Take up background check processes for Japan and also APAC when necessary



Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors;  the candidate should also possess:


  • Strong academic achievement with strong bilingual ability and at least 4-6 years of human resources experience in financial services (asset management experience preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of core HR disciplines such as compensation & benefits, employee relations, local employment law, etc.
  • A self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Organizational, interpersonal, strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail; Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Ideal candidate is a resourceful self-starter, proactive and willing to manage and execute multiple competing priorities
  • Must have strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint presentation knowledge
