POSITION OUTLINE :
The candidate is expected to support PIMCO Japan investment management business working closely with client facing, product management, portfolio management functions locally and other global offices.
Major task of the candidate includes cash management, collateral management, regulation preparations, new market opening, new account opening/termination, implementation of the process flows, working in partnership with internal/external counterparts to perform/oversee daily operation.
The candidate will have close communications with global offices. The candidate should also be expect to be involve in firm-wide initiatives and provide supports on industry development, regulatory updates, and any development that has direct impact to the Japan business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3-10 years of asset management industry, fixed income settlement related business experience or experience in operation of financial institution.
• Fluent Japanese/English language skills in both written and oral form.
• Strong communication ability and able to articulate complex situations.
• Ability to multi-task and have good prioritization skill.
• Self-starter, problem solver, detail oriented and team player.
• Excellent PC Skills - Microsoft suites especially excel.
• Project management skill is a plus.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
• Investment Management Operations
1. Day to day operation: cash management, collateral management, settlement monitoring and placing order for daily redemption/subscription of offshore/onshore funds.
2. Work with portfolio manager, account manager, and trade support teams in the event of account transitions such as benchmark change, client guideline change, new account opening and closing.
3. Support documentation process, internal/external client requests, and set-up platform for the required products.
4. Vendor management - Review process and SLA with outsourced vendors to improve efficiency and to mitigate operational risk.
• Liaison with Internal and External Parties
1. Provide vendor oversight.
2. Participate in monthly/weekly and/or ad-hoc conference call with other offices and/or vendor in Japanese/English.
3. Build strong relationships with vendors, trust banks, client facing teams and portfolio managers as well as support various teams in PIMCO's global offices (APAC, Europe and U.S).
