About the Role:

We are looking for a results-oriented Marketing Manager for Japan to develop, execute and optimize marketing activities that drive awareness and build sales pipeline. Tactics could include advertising, email marketing, sponsorships, content creation, social media, digital and in-person events and more.

The Marketing Manager will work in close alignment with sales teams and develop campaigns to support sales goals across target buyers and accounts. Campaigns will require cross-functional collaboration among teams within marketing and across Kyriba. Additionally, this role will be responsible for analysing and reporting on campaign effectiveness to measure success and determine future investment.

Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Work within the marketing team to plan and manage the execution of regional marketing campaigns, as well as other activities supporting the Japan sales team
  • Leverage the full marketing mix (such as events, webinars, online advertising, content syndication, outbound emails, ABM, etc) to build awareness, generate new business leads and/or progress prospects through the funnel
  • Collaborate across a global ecosystem of stakeholders to define and develop integrated marketing strategies and tactics
  • Manage field and regional events (both virtual and in person) including logistics, sourcing/organising speakers & webinar partners, pre & post event communications, follow-up tracking, etc.
  • Manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously to meet deadlines and goals
  • Proactively communicate marketing strategy, tactics and results across executives, sales and marketing to build strong relationships and alignment
  • Apply KPIs, analytics, and insights to better profile, target, and re-target prospects; drive continual optimization of campaign performance.
  • Understand and keep up with industry trends that impact and highlight customer pain points to optimise targeted messaging
  • Refine and optimise all activities to maximise return on investment, with a focus on sales qualified opportunity generation and conversion through the marketing funnel
  • Collaborate closely with field sales and BDRs to ensure effective enablement and follow-up

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline OR equivalent relevant experience
  • Fluent in Japanese and an excellent standard of spoken and written English
  • Proactive approach to work
  • Strong analytical skills to be able to review campaigns' performance and use this intel to optimise future performance
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Collaborative team player, as well as an independent worker, that performs well in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time and re-prioritise according to changing demands
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Self-starter who can work to deadlines and standards with minimum supervision
  • Familiarity with marketing automation systems (Pardot preferable)
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce.com strongly preferred)
  • Sound understanding of marketing mix optimisation

  • 8+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • Experience across the full marketing mix
  • Experience working as a trusted partner to sales
  • Proven track record of delivering marketing campaigns and in-person events within a B2B organisation (experience in marketing SaaS solutions strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated track record of success in driving demand and contribution to the organisation's pipeline
  • Experience in developing integrated campaigns and programmes
  • Experience in using both online and offline tactics to deliver marketing activities - including but not limited to email, events, direct mail, online and social marketing to generate new business leads or progress prospects through the funnel
  • Experience in Account Based Marketing
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience of working with complex teams and across multiple geographies and cultures
  • Proven ability to use data to optimise campaign performance
