Key Responsibilities
- Verify and correct transaction data in internal systems to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and manage trade confirmations with counterparties after deal execution
- Validate incoming invoices and ensure timely and accurate settlement processing
- Investigate discrepancies in invoices and settlements, implementing corrective and preventive measures
- Execute settlements for exchange-traded and OTC power and commodity transactions
- Support monthly and periodic financial closing processes
- Contribute to workflow improvements and settlement process optimization
- Experience in settlements, clearing, or back-office operations related to financial instruments, commodities, or derivatives
- Practical knowledge of transaction processing within trading or financial services environments
- Clear and professional communication skills across multiple stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment
- Japanese: Intermediate to Business level (written and spoken)
- English: Intermediate to Business level (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of the Japanese power market and related settlement frameworks
- Familiarity with contract clauses related to settlement, clearing, and payment terms
