Site Reliability Engineer (Hybrid - Flexible Options)

Broadridge is growing and we are looking for seasoned technology leader to manage an exciting role in our Investor Communication Solution Business. We are looking for a Manager (Site Reliability Engineer) in our APAC location responsible for our client facing services and ensure operational excellence and business continuity across our growing suite of products in our ICS Japan and ICS Global Proxy line of Business. This role will provide support during Japan Time Zone and will require to be available for any critical client impacting incidents 24/7.

In this position, you will be part of our ICS Technology organization tightly aligned with the technology Site Reliability Engineering and Business leaders located in U.S. and Europe. Closely partnering with cross functional technology teams to support and deliver solution services to our clients. This role will be APAC ICJ-focused local lead interacting with ICJ Business, Operation team, client service and technical teams ensuring IT Deliverables are met. Managing Technical communication, Incident reports and Project oversight for all Broadridge related projects for ICJ and drive adherence to Broadridge Policies and Standards. 

Responsible of leading a significant program of work and ongoing service to both external and internal clients in a fast paced, multi-client, multi-product, financial services environment with both insourced and outsourced IT services and delivering results for the company, while improving the ease of doing business with automation for the organization's internal and external clients by improving the application delivery and IT infrastructure processes. 
This role involves executive and c-level communication with our ICS Global Business and clients with a focus in the APAC region. This role ensures the quality of services provided meet customer needs or exceeds established industry standards while driving for increase operational efficiencies.

Job Description and Responsibilities

• Responsible for Daily Technical and Operational communication between Broadridge and APAC clients (ICJ and Global Proxy)
• Manage governance, oversight, and technical expertise in resolving issue by engaging the right teams, escalating through proper channel along with reducing MTTR and Preventing future Incidents MTBF
• Participate in ensuring the Service Reliability of ICJOnline Platform and Proxy Voting Systems by engaging ICJ and their client’s feedback.
• Review and participate in annual Budget and system improvements to enhance ICJ client experience
• Partner with local BR team to provide backup support across APAC and eliminate any open risk
• Assist in obtaining overall SRE objectives and Manage/Own local performance objectives set for the team
• Ability to manage multiple issue and work with multiple teams to resolve Business impacting issues across time zones
• Conducts periodic reviews as it relates to ensure capacity, scaling, security and availability of Broadridge services.
• Understands dependencies between infrastructure components, vendor software, custom software and other parts of the processing stack that support Broadridge Services
• Collaborates with peers and other technical teams, such as development teams, architecture, database teams, storage teams, server teams, security teams to prevent and shorten production incidents.
• Collect and report on information relating to ICJ technical and operation process
• Collect and report on ICS Business and new developments with clients
• Ability to establish credibility and rapport with clients, senior leaders and technical and non-technical team members alike.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment where you're required to take on multiple responsibilities and do what it takes to get things done.
• Deliver complex development and infrastructure projects on-time, on-budget and with a high degree of quality to support revenue-generating applications for our APAC clients.
• Commitment to continuous process improvement by suggesting new ways of solving problems.
• Demonstrable experience acting as a Champion of a growing APAC organization, building out new Service offerings for our ICS Business

Ad-hoc responsibilities

• Project Management of Broadridge related Disaster Recovery Tests impacting APAC
• Project Management of Broadridge technical and operational projects impacting APAC
• Project Management of Business impacting Incidents impacting APAC clients
• Ability to report using Enterprise project management best practices.
• Monthly reporting between APAC clients and Business teams.

Work Experience and  Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; Master’s or Honors Degree preferred
• 10+ years management experience supporting APAC clients, emphasis on Japan based asset servicing and TA clients
• Strong understanding of Japan client comms and proxy eco system
• Proven track record selling/supporting tech solutions or service delivery to Japanese issuers and trust banks
• Proven track project managing IT related projects impacting client service delivery
• 5+ years working for a tech or a service vendor
• leadership experience driving a team while focusing on continuous improvement initiatives and setting priorities and plans to meet business goals and objectives.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a multi-functional, matrix management environment.
• Fluency in English, Japanese required, other APAC language is a plus
• Authorized to work in Japan (local or work permit)
• Domestic travel required 25% of the time. International travel may be required (optional).
• Understanding of ICJ related client platforms (ideal but not essential)
• Understanding of Broadridge ICJ IT support model (ideal but not essential)
