Senior Project Manager and Team Lead - Tokyo Institutional Securities Group (ISG) Product Operations

The ISG Product Operations Change the Bank Team delivers strategic, global business process- and technology-based solutions for Morgan Stanley?s Institutional Securities businesses, to support business enablement, access to markets, improve front-to-back operational efficiencies and support changes to adapt to the rapidly-changing market and regulatory environment.

The Role:
This unique opportunity requires a Senior Project Manager and Team Lead who will lead and deliver a portfolio of projects to enable new business, streamline and automate front to back processes, and reduce use of legacy systems.

The role provides exposure to key stakeholders and subject matter experts across multiple units and business domains including Core/Program and Electronic Sales & Trading, Trade Support Groups, Client Service Groups, Settlement and Finance.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Business Process Definition, Analysis & Solution Design
? Interact with stakeholders to define current state process and business requirements documentation
? Design future state process flows, formulate requirements and identify improvement opportunities
? Define and validate business rules and required business configurations to ensure smooth front-to-back
integration, trade booking and enrichment
? Develop comprehensive and robust test cases/plans and co-ordinate/conduct the execution of these tests
to ensure successful delivery
? Develop user documentation and training as required.

Leadership and Influencing Skills
? Manage a team of junior project managers and business analysts locally / virtually who work on different renovation projects and business initiatives in the region
? Partner with supporting teams across locations and divisions to drive cross-team delivery, to ensure desired outcome is achieved for the project sponsors

* Recommend and mobilise efforts in IT and business teams upstream and downstream to drive process changes or alternative solutions to improve front to back efficiency, enhance control, and reduce operational risk

Project Management
? Track project issues, benefits, costs and pipeline projects for prioritisation
? Assist project managers in formulating business case development
? Consolidate and prepare project steering packs and executive summary for management reporting
? Conduct user training & manage any hand-offs and procedure adjustments to end users and/or training
teams

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or above
· 6+ years' relevant experience with proven track record in project management and business analysis
· At least 4 years' experience in Financial Services Industry
· Excellent communication skills, oral and written fluency in English are required
· MS Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Access, Project)
