Mission



Yo will spport the Head of CoE Data & AI Modeling and the Advanced Analytics team in designing, developing, and operationalising AI soltions across the bank. Yor work will contribte directly to the transformation of BIL's data landscape throgh intelligent atomation, docment nderstanding, and the indstrialisation of machine learning and LLM-based systems.



The role is highly technical and hands-on, sitting at the intersection of software engineering, data science, and operational excellence. Criosity, pragmatism, and strong engineering discipline are all essential.



Yo will help make AI delivery faster, more robst, and more reliable by (i) developing and testing AI components, (ii) atomating model deployment workflows, and (iii) preparing committee-ready docmentation and technical materials.




Main dties




1.
AI model development & experimentation

• Bild and refine components for OCR, classification, text extraction, and LLM-based retrieval.

• Clean and prepare datasets for model training (nstrctred docments, metadata, historical archives).

• Evalate model performance throgh strctred metrics and testing frameworks.

• Docment experiments, reslts, and lessons learned.

AI pipelines & atomation

• Contribte to the development and maintenance of MLOps pipelines.

• Atomate recrring data processing tasks in Python & SQL (ETL, preprocessing, Docment processing, ...).

• Help integrate models into bank workflows via APIs, microservices, or orchestration tools.

• Spport the migration of prototypes into stable, prodction-ready components.




3.
LLM engineering & prompt optimisation

• Test and evalate large langage models.

• Develop prompt templates, retrieval strategies, and evalation datasets.

• Contribte to AI se cases sch as docment smmarisation, classification, and Q&A systems.

• Assist in integrating Snowflake Cortex or Dataik LLM Mesh featres into real se cases.




4.
AI governance & docmentation

• Prepare governance-ready materials: model cards, risk assessments, validation notes.

• Ensre traceability of datasets, parameters, evalation logic, and deployment versions.

• Assist in prodcing committee-ready PowerPoint packs for project progress and decision-making.




5.
Ad hoc analytical & engineering spport

• Contribte to deep-dives on performance isses, error analysis, or model drift.

• Spport internal teams by preparing demos, tests, and technical proofs-of-concept.

• Participate in workshops with compliance, risk, and bsiness stakeholders when relevant.




Profile

• Stdent in Data Science, AI Engineering, Compter Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (minimm Master 1).

• Alternatively, a strong engineering or qantitative finance stdent with demonstrated coding capability in Python and a clear interest in AI/ML.




Technical skills

•
Python (advanced): pandas, NmPy, scikit-learn, regex, model evalation.

•
Machine Learning / NLP basics: vector embeddings, classification, model metrics.

•
LLM familiarity: prompt engineering, LangChain, retrieval techniqes - strong asset.

•
OCR & docment processing: Tesseract/OpenCV/PyPDF/PDF processing - asset.

•
MLOps fondations: Git, CI/CD, containerisation, APIs - pls.

•
Data tools: Snowflake, Dataik, SQL. - strong asset.

•
PowerPoint: ability to synthesise and strctre clear technical presentations.



Knowledge of banking processes, credit risk, or financial docments (contracts, balance sheets, KYC docments) wold be considered a strong advantage.
