About our client

Our client is a successful private equity fund based in Luxembourg and investing in lower-mid and small cap companies across DACH. As a generalist fund, their strategy is to partner with their portfolio companies to define and implement value creation initiatives, enabling business to grow.

Typical investments range from €10 to €25 million, with the potential for larger deals, and they engage in a wide range of deals from traditional buyouts, including successions and carve-outs, growth funding, and significant minorities (with Governance).

The team is currently raising its fourth-generation fund, hence looking to add an Associate to strengthen their deal team. In a deal team of 2 to 3 people, you will work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, and contribute to the full investment cycle: from screening opportunities and conducting in-depth analysis, to building financing propositions, as well as work on value creation projects. What the job involves

• Support sourcing and origination by engaging and managing external advisors and other relevant stakeholders
• Review and assess investment opportunities, build related financial models
• Execute and/or coordinate due diligence workstreams
• Active involvement in defining and implementing value creation initiatives to optimise portfolio companies

Who we are looking for

• Previous experience gained within a private equity fund, and/or M&A advisory boutique and/or transaction advisory consultancy
• Strong financial modelling skills and experience
• A down to earth style and ability to engage with entrepreneurs
• Native-level German skills and any other European language an asset
