Description and Requirements

Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for Value of New Business (VNB) Reporting and USGAAP valuation and analysis in the Malaysia Center of Excellence (CoE). Supports the Regional Actuary in People development and business matters while driving drives continuous improvements.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Support VNB and USGAAP valuation, analysis of change, and related activities
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and oversee the daily operation
• Guide team members on valuation related activities
• Strengthen controls and process, identifying opportunities to improve Malaysia COE Actuarial workflows through AI-enabled solutions
• Collaborate with peers to understand business needs and deliver high-quality solutions

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or a related field, with at least 8 years of actuarial experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze, interpret and address stakeholder needs
• Strong learning agility, adaptability and work ethic required.
• Experience with AI tools and actuarial modeling software, such as Python, Prophet or Axis, is preferred.

Qualification Required:

• High potential to be Fellow within one year
