Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Senior Consumer Banking Auditor is responsible for managing audit engagements across Consumer Banking (including Wealth Management, Secured and Unsecured Lending Products), Compliance/AML/CFT, Treasury and/or Branch portfolios. The individual is expected to possess broad knowledge across the Consumer Banking (e.g. Wealth Management, Secured & Unsecured Products) landscape and provide insights on emerging risks, regulatory developments and industry practices, while driving value-added improvements across business and support units.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee audit engagements covering Consumer Banking, Lending, Wealth Management, Compliance/AML/CFT and related support functions.
• Perform continuous risk assessments and risk profiling for assigned portfolios, identifying emerging risks and areas requiring audit attention.
• Oversee audit fieldwork and review audit workpapers to ensure quality, completeness and adherence to Internal Audit methodology.
• Provide guidance, coaching and technical support to audit team members during audit engagements.
• Actively drive and serve as a role model in the adoption and application of Generative AI, Data Analytics and technology-enabled auditing techniques.
• Identify thematic issues, root causes and control weaknesses, and recommend practical, sustainable and value-added solutions.
• Prepare and present quality audit reports, highlighting key issues, risks, impacts and sustainable action plans.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships while maintaining audit independence and objectivity.
• Actively contribute to the development of risk-based audit plans, portfolio risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives within Internal Audit.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes and emerging risks affecting Consumer Banking businesses, operations and related regulatory requirements.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 12 years of audit or relevant banking experience, including experience managing complex audit engagements.
• Bachelor's degree or its equivalent. AICB Chartered Banker, CIA, CBA/BKA, ACAMS/CAMS or other relevant professional certification will be advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of Consumer Banking and Wealth Management products, processes and associated risks is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with AML/CFT regulatory frameworks, consumer banking regulations and compliance standards is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with adopting and applying Generative AI technologies would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
