Corporate Finance - EMEA Controller- Associate
Firmwide Controllers is a global organization of approximately 1,500 colleagues, operating through a partnership among Accounting Policy & SEC Reporting, Bank Controller, Corporate Controllers Business Management, Finance Control Office, Firmwide Finance Business Architecture, Firmwide Financial Accounting & Reporting, Corporate Sector Controllers, Global Finance India, Strategic Re-engineering Function and Valuation Control Group. Working together, our strengths and resources enable us to ensure the integrity of the JPMorgan Chase consolidated books and records and the results of individual legal entities within the Firm. The controllership function is focused on ensuring and improving the organization's credibility through accounting, financial controls, systems and reporting.

Corporate Sector Controllers is responsible for financial and operational GL accounting activities, internal controls, and financial reporting for the Corporate LOBs (ex CIO, Treasury and Private Equity), as well as centrally managed Firm-wide GL accounting activities. The Corporate Sector Controllers global LOB coverage areas include Global Real Estate, Human Resources, Global Technology, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Corporate Responsibility, Communication, Strategy, Regulatory Affairs, Oversight & Control, Intelligent Solutions, JPMC Foundation, Corporate Contributions, Sourcing & Procurement, Global Services, Operational Control, Corporate Other and Corporate Staff Functions (Audit, Executive, Finance, Risk, Security, Tax, etc). Additional operational responsibilities include Legal Entity Controllership, Regulatory Reporting, Controls, Real Estate Construction Accounting and Telecommunications (Data & Voice) Invoice & Contract Management.

R esponsibilities:


This role may be involved in the direct GL booking, instruction or oversight of monthly GL processes, reporting and analysis. Primary responsibilities may include payment processing, cash management, GL fixed asset maintenance, and balance sheet account reconciliation. The role may also involve
  • Interaction with key stakeholders: Corporate LOB functional teams, Finance, Legal Entity Controllers, Tax, External vendors/business partners, internal/external audit groups, and others
  • Foreign Exchange processing and reporting
  • Detailed understanding and documentation of all activities


Requirements:

  • 5-8years of relevant experience required in GL accounting/finance-related areas,with demonstrated career progression
  • Part or fully qualified accountant
  • Structured mind-set with process/continuous improvement orientation
  • Provenability to work well with various partners and customers
  • Stronginterpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical andfinancial skills with a track record of execution against deliverables
  • Creative self-starterwith strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently aswell as contribute to the broader team
  • Ability to multi-taskand succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent oral andwritten communication skills, multi-national language skills preferable, butnot required
  • Experience preferred withautomated financial systems, database management, worksheet-modeling tools(Excel)
