Job Description
About the Role
In this role, you will join the Funds Distribution Services Roadmap team within GBS (Group Business Solutions) and contribute to the evolution of IT solutions supporting funds distribution across global markets.
You will work on systems at the heart of Euroclear's Funds Services ecosystem, enabling secure, reliable, and scalable interaction between Distributors, Transfer Agents, Fund Managers, and internal platforms.
As a Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in translating solution designs into robust and maintainable implementations, while providing strong technical leadership within a complex and highly interconnected environment.
Your Mission
You will contribute to the design and delivery of complex software solutions supporting Funds Distribution Services, working closely with Solution Architects, product teams, and other senior engineers.
You will take ownership of key technical components, ensuring high standards of technical quality, resilience, and scalability, and supporting the team in delivering reliable platforms that operate within strict market, regulatory, and operational constraints inherent to funds distribution.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement complex software components aligned with agreed solution architectures and business objectives.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and senior engineers to translate high-level designs and epics into well-defined technical solutions and features.
• Challenge technical choices constructively to ensure feasibility, performance, and maintainability.
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned components or services, from design and development through testing and deployment.
• Ensure code quality, system reliability, and adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers within the team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, reusable components, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements
Your Profile
• 7-10 years of professional experience in software engineering, preferably in enterprise-scale systems.
• Experience working on large and complex IT initiatives, ideally within Financial Services.
• Strong hands-on expertise in .NET environments.
• Solid understanding of APIs, system integration patterns, and data technologies (Exposure to Azure, Kafka, and Linux-based Java development is an asset)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in complex environments.
• Pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset, with attention to quality and operational robustness.
• Experience working in Agile delivery models.
• Good communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
What We Offer
• A key technical role contributing to Euroclear's global settlement platforms.
• Exposure to complex, business-critical systems used across 80+ countries.
• A collaborative and inclusive environment with flexible hybrid working.
• Opportunities for continuous learning, skill development, and career progression toward principal or architectural roles.
