Our client is a CMS licensed asset manager that is looking to make a strategic hire in the compliance team. This will be a critical role responsible for advising the business on regulatory compliance and AML requirements.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

1. Keep abreast of regulatory developments and ensure compliance policies and internal controls are up to date and robust
2. End-to-end AML coverage across AML/KYC assessment, advising the business on AML risks and ensuring adequate controls are in place.
3. Assist the Head of Compliance on wider regulatory compliance matters such as licensing requirements/maintenance, keeping up to date on the CMSL regulatory regime and act as a back up point of contact with regulators such as MAS.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

1. 5-10 years of compliance experience ideally from the asset management or fund management industry.
2. Familiar with CMS license regulatory requirements.
3. Fluent in Chinese Mandarin as the role will require interaction with Chinese stakeholders and reading of documentation in Chinese.
