Your new role

• Spend approximately 80% of the time on hands-on programming and development activities.
• Develop, enhance, modify, and maintain applications within the Global Markets environment.
• Collaborate with global teams to design and build new functionality on MuleSoft, TIBCO, and other shared platforms.
• Interact directly with end users, compliance teams, and senior stakeholders to gather and define business requirements.
• Manage technology solutions in a high-risk environment, leveraging deep banking domain and product knowledge.
• Provide Level 3 production support for business-critical applications.
• Strong Java developer with extensive experience in building middle-tier services.

What you'll need to succeed

• Hands-on developer with strong Core Java expertise and the ability to work across multiple frameworks.
• Good understanding of messaging frameworks and technologies, including IBM MQ, Kafka, and JMS.
• Knowledge of RDBMS, JDBC, Linux, XML, and in-memory databases.
• Experience using design patterns and adhering to software engineering best practices.
• Experience with SDLC automation tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory, and Ansible.
• Strong commitment to clean code principles.
• Adheres rigorously to Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and Continuous Integration (CI)
• Good understanding of Global Markets, particularly SWIFT messaging.
