Role Summary

This role is responsible for the execution of end-to-end cargo and shipping operations across the global waterborne trading portfolio. The Operations Executive will manage the physical and logistical flow of trades from supplier to customer, ensuring smooth, compliant, and commercially optimized execution.
Working in a fast-paced, 24/7 trading environment, the role requires strong coordination with traders, chartering teams, and both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full trade lifecycle, from contract issuance through to delivery and settlement
• Execute cargo nominations, vessel scheduling, and operational instructions in line with contractual terms
• Oversee vessel operations (spot and time charter), including voyage planning and bunkering
• Coordinate closely with internal teams (Trading, Risk, Finance, Compliance) and external parties (terminals, inspectors, agents, shipowners)
• Monitor and resolve day-to-day operational issues and mitigate contractual risks
• Identify optimisation opportunities across the supply chain
• Handle Letters of Credit in coordination with Finance
• Manage demurrage and other claims end-to-end
• Ensure timely reporting and accurate system updates
• Support trade settlements and maintain operational records
