Risk Operations Analyst
Kennedys is looking for a Risk Operations Analyst to join our Global Risk and Compliance team. The successful Risk Operations Analyst will support the day to day operational delivery of the Global Risk & Compliance function, coordinating queries, processes, reporting and governance activities, while working with colleagues globally to strengthen controls and continuously improve the way Risk Operations services are delivered.
We are looking for someone who has an interest in developing a career in Risk and Compliance and can bring excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, global law firm.
This role will be in Chelmsford, Leeds, London or Manchester, working on a hybrid basis and reports into the Head of Risk Operations.
Team
Kennedys' Risk & Compliance (R&C) team manages a broad range of risk, regulatory and governance matters for the firm. Acting as an in house legal and compliance function, the team supports the partnership and business services teams globally on issues including regulatory compliance, professional conduct, data risk, insurance, client due diligence, quality and audit, and risk management processes.
The Risk Operations team underpins Risk & Compliance's operational delivery, coordinating the global helpdesk, client due diligence, regulatory and insurance renewals, company secretarial activities, governance, reporting and internal communications. The team ensures these services are delivered consistently and efficiently across Kennedys, while driving improved processes, controls and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and triage Risk & Compliance Helpdesk queries and coordinate actions across the department.
- Support information barriers, access governance and associated operational controls.
- Provide operational support for Risk & Compliance policies, procedures, tenders, regulatory activities and stakeholder requests.
- Maintain accurate files, records and other Risk Operations documentation.
- Support regional Risk & Compliance activities and operational requirements.
- Assist with data collection, management information, reporting and governance activities.
- Support Risk & Compliance projects, change initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Ensure confidential and sensitive information is handled and maintained appropriately.
- Monitor and follow up operational actions and queries through to completion, identifying and escalating issues where appropriate to support timely and effective service delivery.
Required experience
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple requests and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately with data, records and management information.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at different levels.
- A team player who can work in a highly collaborative, fast paced and global environment.
- Ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive data.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
- An interest in developing knowledge of risk, compliance and regulatory processes.
