Finance Change Data Analyst

M&G Prudential has invested assets with a number of Investment Providers, and the information from these assets is required for a variety of purposes within the Financial processes including Modelling, General ledger, Cash Flow matching and Financial Reporting disclosures. This role offers the opportunity to work with business units for the complete project cycle, downstream users and M&G Prudential IT to design, document and deliver technical system and process change with the M&G Prudential Asset Data Store.
Key responsibilities of this role:
  • Provide insight regarding monthly reporting to ensure the data meets expectations of the business and supports user acceptance testing.
  • Support the timely and accurate provision of regulatory reporting within established control frameworks.
  • Document the business requirements and work with BU's/business areas to design acceptable solutions.
  • Produce technical designs working collaboratively with the Business and IT to ensure these will meet the requirements and ensure that they are delivered accurately, efficiently and in a cost effective manner.
  • Liaise with business unit delivery / IT managers to understand delivery timelines.
  • Assist in maintaining change logs and plans, and ensuring change is implemented.
  • Communicate clearly to the stakeholders of the changes, following a structured project style model.
  • Ensure that the end to end delivery of change is managed with key departments and the business.
  • Work with Risk, BU and Finance to manage initiatives to consolidate or improve the data services provided to the business.
  • Investigate data issues and establish an appropriate resolution.
  • Research and analyse data on behalf of the business utilising Bloomberg.
  • Make any procedural enhancements and development of business processes.
  • Analyse data completeness, accuracy and consistency levels, ensuring that these aspects of data quality are actively managed.
  • Works with the business on an on-going basis to ensure new data quality requirements or changes are
  • Ensure any significant data quality issues are escalated and managed effectively.
  • Ensure that key risks regarding data are understood and controlled effectively
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • A background in data analysis
  • Experience of working within a Financial Services systems and database changes team.
  • Experience in process improvements and implementing appropriate controls
  • Experience of providing systems and databased support to stakeholders
  • An ability to validate data integrity and provide suitable recommendations for change
  • An awareness of financial services legislator and regulatory frameworks
  • An awareness of IFRS Reporting and Solvency II
  • Knowledge of asset data & related reporting processes is advantageous
  • Some awareness or familiarity of QRT Reporting
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong relationship building skills both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A good team ethic
