The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Framework & Reporting and the Central Compliance Team in providing a range of centralised compliance services in an efficient and effective manner. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their career in the field of compliance within a leading asset management firm.

Key activities include:
  • Management Information - build upon existing oversight and reporting processes to design and deliver effective management information through the implementation of an automated Compliance Dashboard using PowerBi technology;
  • Compliance Reporting - production of timely Compliance MI to relevant Senior/Exec Management, Boards/Committees, forums and other stakeholders;
  • Compliance Framework - ensure the creation and maintenance of the related procedures;
  • Support external reporting to regulatory bodies, including the FCA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain 'tools' to support the collation of data from multiple sources in varying formats to facilitate the efficient and accurate production of reporting/MI (largely manual at present).
  • Contribute to the Compliance Framework & Reporting function to ensure that the team has appropriate processes and procedures in order to deliver high quality services.
  • Support the production of relevant management information in relation to activities performed by the function.
  • Share learning across the team and support the training of other team members.
  • Be proactive, demonstrate well considered judgements and anticipate emerging risks.
  • Ensure that team procedures and M&G risk and control methodologies are applied on a consistent basis.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Develop positive and professional working relationships within the Risk and Compliance Departments, Technology and Transformation and other stakeholders throughout M&G
  • Support the embedding of M&G culture and Compliance Department values within the team
  • Develop a good understanding of the Compliance Department and wider M&G governance framework; providing guidance to other Compliance Department personnel to the extent required
  • Support the development and maintenance of relationships with relevant external parties including, for example, the Depositary and External Audit

Essential Experience:
  • Recent experience of designing interactive Dashboards' using PowerBI or similar software (such as QlikView, Cognos, Saas, Business Objects, Tableau etc.)
  • Proven delivery of MS Office tools and processes to streamline and enhance reporting and MI
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to conceptualise complex issues and engage with both business and technology stakeholders
  • Self-starter, high levels of initiative and a strong work ethic
  • Commercially aligned, can-do attitude and pragmatic approach
  • Strength of character that enables effective communication across all levels of the organisation
  • Team player, supportive with a collegiate approach
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including Board level report writing

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Experienced Analyst with experience of working in a Central function;
  • Experience of producing and delivering Compliance management information and reporting;
  • Proven experience in developing interactive Dashboards;
  • Advanced knowledge, including VBA, of Excel, Access;
  • Experience of working with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements for future reports/MI/processes;
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge within the financial services industry, would be advantageous;
  • Experience of process mapping and transformation.

Develop positive and professional working relationships within the Risk and Compliance Departments, Group-wide Internal Audit, with senior managers throughout M&G and at its third party service providers
