Job: Associate Director Debt Capital Markets

Standard Chartered Bank, London are recruiting for an Associate Director, Debt Capital Markets (DCM). The chosen individual will work alongside and assist the Executive Director, DCM - taking accountability for: production of market updates and prospective client pitch materials and generation of trade ideas for existing and prospective European and US Corporate clients looking to access the debt capital markets in both public and private format. They will collaborate with teams across Coverage, Financial Markets Sales, Debt Capital Markets, Liability Management, Syndicate, Financing Solutions and Advisory and Legal to leverage our footprint capabilities and network to continue to expand our DCM franchise in Europe and the US.
The chosen individual will provide best in class service to existing clients with an emphasis on proactive engagement and timely delivery of market intelligence. They will drive and follow financial markets themes with close alignment to the risk books and, at all times, in adherence to group policies and relevant local legislation. This role will be a Certified Persons role as part of the BRA-Individual Accountability Regime.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

The chosen individual must have the following:

• Strong demonstrable experience within Debt Capital Markets, with a track record in both the European and US capital markets.
• Experience must include multiple DCM products: High Yield, Investment Grade Bonds, Social/Ethical Bonds, Project Finance, Liability Management, Derivatives and Private Placements (in both the EUR markets and the US PP market)
• Strong demonstrable experience and track record in derivatives and risk management
• Strong and demonstrable experience in analysing corporate credit
• Track record of operating in a client coverage role within DCM - producing and delivering (individually and as part of team) pitches to existing and prospective clients and executing transactions
• Proven track record of Fixed Income analysis, trade idea generation and market intelligence report production.
• Relevant financial based degree - i.e. Finance, Economics
