Role overview



We are seeking an experienced
Paralegal/Support Lawyer to join our
Structured Finance Group (SFG) . The successful candidate will support a broad range of structured finance transactions, including securitisations, asset-backed financings and other complex financing structures. Working closely with lawyers, clients, financial institutions, issuers, trustees and other transaction parties, you will play a key role in managing transaction execution, coordinating documentation and driving deals through to closing.



This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in structured finance, debt capital markets, banking and finance, or other transactional practice areas who is looking to develop their expertise in a market-leading team. The role operates on a hybrid working model and requires regular attendance in the office.




Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, review and management of structured finance transaction documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely completion of deliverables.


• Coordinate transaction processes across multiple stakeholders, managing key workstreams from inception through to signing and closing.


• Support due diligence exercises, including reviewing, organising and summarising transaction-related documentation and data.


• Prepare and maintain transaction checklists, conditions precedent trackers, closing agendas and execution documents.


• Coordinate signing and closing processes, ensuring deal documentation is executed correctly and all completion requirements are satisfied.


• Liaise with clients, arrangers, originators, trustees, rating agencies, financial institutions, listing authorities and other transaction parties to facilitate the smooth progression of transactions.


• Manage document execution, filing and post-completion requirements, including transaction bibles and closing sets.


• Monitor transaction timetables and provide regular updates to lawyers and clients on key milestones, risks, dependencies and next steps.


• Support knowledge management initiatives and contribute to the maintenance of transaction precedents and know-how materials within the SFG team.

Candidate requirements

• LPC, SQE, law degree or equivalent legal qualification (including foreign-qualified lawyers).


• At least two years' experience as a Paralegal or Support Lawyer within a leading law firm or in-house legal team, with exposure to structured finance, debt capital markets, banking and finance.


• Strong understanding of complex transaction processes, legal documentation and deal execution.


• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with lawyers, clients, financial institutions and external advisers.


• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.


• Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.


• Able to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take ownership of matters from initiation through to completion.


• Ability to work on a hybrid basis, attending the office in line with team and business requirements.
