The role sits within the Chief Data Office (CDO) and reports to the Head of Analytics& Insights.

The Senior Analytics Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering business value through analytics and actionable insights. This position partners with stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and identify opportunities where data can inform decisions, optimise performance, and unlock growth. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and team leadership skills to create a data-driven culture across the organisation.

The key accountabilities for the role are as follows:

Strategic Analytics Partner
  • Partner with Business Leaders to shape strategy through evidence-based decision making
  • Identify high-value opportunities where analytics can create competitive advantage, improve customer outcomes and accelerate growth
  • Act as a trusted advisor, challenging assumptions and influencing strategic decisions through robust analysis
  • Develop and maintain a prioritised analytics portfolio aligned to strategic and commercial objectives
Analytics Delivery & Insight Generation
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of analytics projects aligned with business objectives
  • Drive and oversee creation of deep dive analytics, models, dashboards, and performance metrics to support decision-making
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques including regression analysis, segmentation and cluster analysis, propensity modelling, time-series forecasting, correlation modelling, driver analysis or similar
  • Use data storytelling techniques to transform complex data into clear, compelling insights presented in a way that drive measurable impact/outcomes and inform strategic decisions
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of analytics initiatives
  • Ensure analytics outputs are accurate, timely, and actionable
Data Enablement
  • Define and embed analytics standards, methodologies and best practices to ensure scalable, repeatable and robust analytical delivery
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Data Governance teams to improve data quality, lineage, accessibility and trust in key business datasets
  • Influence the evolution of the enterprise data and analytics architecture to support future business needs
  • Champion data literacy and foster a culture of data decision-making across the organisation
Leadership & Development
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts, ensuring high standards of analytical delivery creating a culture of technical excellence and business impact
  • Foster an outcome driven mindset, ensuring analytics resources are focused on the highest-value business opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardisation and adoption of emerging analytical technologies
About You

Qualifications
  • Degree in an analytical discipline (e.g. statistics, computer science, maths) or evidence of equivalent practical experience
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Proven experience in managing teams within a complex business environment
  • Strong understanding of how business strategy links to commercial outcomes through analytics delivery
  • Experience delivering commercial value through advanced analytics, predictive modelling, decision science or data science within a complex organisation
  • Track record of translating analytical insights into measurable business outcomes, including revenue growth, customer retention, operational efficiency or risk reduction
  • Experience in data visualisation and storytelling, statistical modelling, and advanced analytics techniques including how to engineer data to support robust outputs
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence at senior levels
  • Experience and understanding of cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks), data visualisation tools (e.g Power BI) and coding languages such as SQL/Python
  • Good understanding of data management principles such as data quality and data ownership
