Senior Technical Pricing Analyst: An opportnity has arisen to join Ageas's nderwriting department in the Broker Technical Pricing team. Technical Pricing are responsible for the prodction of specialist statistical risk models for or Broker insrance prodcts inclding Private Car, Van, Bike and Hosehold. While we have offices in London, Eastleigh and Bornemoth, we will accommodate working from home fll-time.



This exciting role as Senior Technical Pricing Analyst offers the opportnity to explore and se new technologies and be involved in delivering strategic change sch as improving the sophistication of models and deploying the latest data science techniqes to generate profitable bsiness growth. The Senior Technical Pricing Analyst will spport projects, assisting in data preparation, performing, and reviewing actarial modelling and interpreting reslts that drives high impact and, intelligent pricing soltions - all of which will help drive or competitive positioning.



This role has a strong research and development focs, so the ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individal with independent research experience and the proven ability to drive complex projects throgh the complete development cycle, from early conceptalisation to implementation.

Main Responsibilities as Senior Technical Pricing Analyst:

Creating complex, robst actarial models and interpreting the reslts to deliver high impact, innovative pricing

Assisting in the prodction of ad-hoc actarial and statistical analyses, working with stakeholders across the company to solve a wide range of bsiness problems

Prodcing reports, docmentation, and presentations to commnicate statistical models and reslts to key stakeholders

Identifying opportnities to challenge and improve existing methodologies, deploying new analytical techniqes that deliver new insights and tangible operational improvements.

Skills and experience yo need as Senior Technical Pricing Analyst:



Essential -

A* or A grades in Mathematics and other nmerate A-levels.

'1 or above degree in a nmerate discipline: for example, bt not limited to, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Physics.

A PhD or a research-based Masters is highly desired for this role.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to maniplate and interpret data.

The job holder shold be able to identify, investigate and interpret the reslts of an analysis, considering past the more obvios first order effects. A high level of problem solving is reqired, both logically and laterally, along with an ability to engage in research.

Desirable -

Experience of actarial pricing or statistical modelling, preferably in a reglated mlti-divisional indstry.

Experience of machine learning techniqes e.g., GBMs, Elastic Net Regression or Random Forests in Python or R wold be highly advantageos.

Experience, or awareness, of indstry-specific software sch as Emblem wold be looked pon favorably.

Previos experience of working in partnership with teams to inflence, gain by in and share knowledge with particlar emphasis on being able to present difficlt concepts clearly.
