Participates in and executes the lending of client securities from an available portfolio of securities to brokerage firms and banks, following client guidelines. Responsible for recognizing and negotiating a maximum return for both the client and the bank, ensuring loans are sufficiently collateralized, and available cash has been invested.

1. Interfaces with brokers, clients, and administrators to lend client securities, according to client guidelines.

2. Negotiates with brokers and banks to price trades based on market factors; makes decisions within short time frames.

3. Ensures loans are sufficiently collateralized.

4. Monitors client accounts to ensure that available cash has been invested in various cash investment vehicles.

5. Verifies that transactions are executed properly and that accounts are serviced.

2-3 years securities lending or trading. Knowledge of securities industry, usually obtained through formal training or experience, is required to lend securities. Math and analytical skills are required to execute trades.
