The Role: Summer Intern - Software Development

The Team: We currently have openings across our software development teams. The work you do will provide the data and analytics required for crucial, daily decisions in the capital and commodities markets. . The ideal candidate thrives in a highly technical role and will design and develop software using multiple technologies. You will get to work on cutting edge technologies and work on the back-end system capable of delivering real-time streaming.

The Summer 2023 Internship Program will provide you with a variety of experiences to help you identify your strengths, develop highly transferable skills, and align you to a successful career path for a bright future at S&P Global.

Responsibilities:
• Work as a hands-on developer to develop highly scalable industry-leading applications
• Work closely with product owners, technology leaders to understand and clarify requirements
• Analyze, isolate issues, and resolve them
• Produce system documents
• Improve the architecture and quality of the code

What We're Looking For:
• Pursuing Bachelor's /Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analystics or equivalent.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have strong analytical skills and learning agility
• Have ability to work in a collaborative work environment
• Strong knowledge on core Java, Python
• Basic knowledge on AWS, Microservices, Spring Boot, big data technologies such as Cassandra would be an added plus.

Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 5

The Location: New York, NY

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):
S&P Global states that the anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $21 to $30. Final salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
