Analyst / Senior analyst - Valuation and Accounting

The Role

As the successful applicant you will be part of a team responsible for the daily valuation of fixed income and equity asset classes as well as overall net asset value for the fund. Furthermore, you will manage the flow of benchmark changes in the US region. At the core sits the close working relationship with internal teams to implement and maintain robust operational processes supporting the management of the portfolio. This goes across all asset classes – fixed income, equities, real estate, and unlisted renewable infrastructure.

You will contribute to a good working relationship with internal teams to ensure requirements are captured and implemented, including the quarterly reporting to the fund's leader group.

The position is in New York and will report to the Head of Valuation and Accounting. Some travel should be expected.

What you will do

This is a collaborative environment conducive to working on some of the following tasks:

• Quality assurance of the overall market value of the fund and ongoing performance and attribution, working in close cooperation with the rest of the team
• Champion and drive forward the development of the team’s function with a focus on automation, utilising the virtual network of engineers, developer specialists and analysts across regions
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and models using the latest available technology including cloud-based services

What you need

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic records.
• Previous experience from asset management is desirable but not a requirement. Newly graduated candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with a pure technical background will be considered given a demonstrated motivation for working with financial instruments and valuation
• Candidates with a non-technical background should have an interest in developing new computer science skills, including Python, AWS, and SQL
