Legal Director
Kennedys is seeking an experienced Legal Director to join its Cyber and Risk team in Dubai.

The Role

You will take a leading role in delivering high-quality advice on cyber incidents, data breaches and associated regulatory and litigation risks. Working closely with partners and the wider global cyber team, you will:
  • Lead complex incident response mandates for insurers and corporate clients
  • Provide strategic coverage and claims advice under cyber policies
  • Advise on data protection compliance, breach notifications and regulatory engagement across the Middle East
  • Handle and supervise data subject claims and related disputes
  • Mentor and develop junior lawyers, and contribute significantly to business development, client relationship management and knowledge-sharing initiatives

The role offers substantial autonomy, direct client contact and the opportunity to shape the continued growth of the cyber and data risk practice in the region.

The Candidate
  • Substantial post-qualification experience (typically 8+ years) with a strong track record in cyber, data privacy, insurance coverage or commercial litigation
  • Proven ability to lead complex matters, supervise teams and deliver practical, commercially focused advice at a senior level
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, advocacy and client-relationship skills
  • Ideally qualified in England & Wales, Australia or another common-law jurisdiction; prior Middle East experience is highly desirable
  • Confident, commercially aware lawyer with a collaborative style and a genuine interest in developing the practice and mentoring others
