An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing and client-focused professional services firm.

This is a broad role offering a strong mix of Corporate Tax compliance, advisory work, client relationship management and business development. You'll take ownership of a varied portfolio while working closely with Partners and colleagues across the wider firm.

The role would suit an ambitious tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients, wants to develop their technical expertise and is looking for the opportunity to take real ownership of their portfolio.

The Role

You'll manage a portfolio of corporate clients across a range of sectors, providing proactive and commercially focused tax advice.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of Corporate Tax clients, taking responsibility for service delivery and deadlines.
• Providing advice on tax planning, technical matters and one-off Corporate Tax projects.
• Reviewing Corporation Tax computations, returns and related compliance work.
• Advising clients on tax issues and dealing with HMRC enquiries and correspondence.
• Supporting Partners with complex advisory work, proposals, pitches and new business opportunities.
• Identifying opportunities to grow and develop existing client relationships.
• Managing WIP, billing, recoverability and portfolio profitability.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and understanding their wider commercial objectives.
• Reviewing and developing the work of junior team members and providing coaching and support.
• Working collaboratively with Accounting Services and other specialist teams across the firm.
• Contributing to technical updates, knowledge-sharing initiatives, articles and client seminars where appropriate.

About You

You'll be a qualified tax professional with strong Corporate Tax experience gained within an accountancy or professional services environment.

Ideally, you'll have:

• ACA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong Corporate Tax technical knowledge.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients and reviewing the work of others.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the needs of owner-managed and corporate businesses.
• Experience managing client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional work.
• A proactive, self-starting approach and the confidence to take ownership.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• A genuine interest in developing both technically and commercially.
