This is a full time role based in Leeds.

Job Description

  • JOB TITLE: D2C Investments Corporate Actions Operational Assistant
  • SALARY: £26,200
  • LOCATION(S): Leeds. Wellington Place
  • HOURS: Full time - 35 hours a week.
  • WORKING PATTERN: Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5pm. You'll be office-based during your initial training so you can get settled, build confidence and get your systems up and running. Once fully competent, hybrid working will be discussed with your Team Leader, with a typical pattern of two days in the office and three days working from home.

About this Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join our D2C Investments Corporate Actions team, where you'll help manage important company events from initial investigation through to completion.

You'll play a key role in making complex corporate information clear and easy for customers to understand, while supporting customer-facing colleagues as a trusted Corporate Actions subject matter expert. The role is varied, detail-focused and collaborative, working closely with teams such as Stock Settlements, Dealing and Transfers to support good customer outcomes and meet regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing
  • Processing a range of Corporate Action events, such as consolidations, takeovers and liquidations.
  • Reviewing company information, checking key details and turning complex updates into clear customer communications.
  • Completing administrative and technical tasks accurately, within agreed procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting internal and external customers with professional, helpful written and verbal communication.
  • Working closely with colleagues across different teams to share information and support informed decisions.
  • Using systems and tools to process work at pace while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Spotting opportunities to improve processes, procedures and ways of working.

What you'll need
  • 1 years' experience in Financial Services preferably Stock Broking.
  • A positive, customer-focused approach.
  • Good judgement and confidence making decisions that support the right customer outcomes.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to write factual information in a structured and easy-to-understand way.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to work with technical information.
  • Confidence using IT systems, software applications and Excel.
  • Basic numeracy skills to support customer queries and processing activity.
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • A curious mindset and willingness to keep learning.
