An exceptional opportunity has arisen within Deloitte Legal as our Contracts Transformation practice experiences significant growth. We are at the forefront of disrupting traditional contracting processes and the broader market, and we seek a highly motivated and visionary Senior Manager to drive and deliver innovative solutions. Our UK-based team is expanding rapidly, driven by ambitious targets and a commitment to being industry leaders.

As a Manager, you will play a key role in leading complex client engagements, driving the delivery of cutting-edge contracting solutions, and fostering strong client relationships. You will lead high-performing project teams to deliver high-quality services in a challenging, dynamic, and rapidly evolving marketplace, acting as a trusted advisor to our clients.

To excel in this role, you will possess deep expertise in consulting, transformation, and the contracting ecosystem. You will be responsible for the successful management and delivery of a portfolio of complex engagements, ensuring their profitability, productivity, and client satisfaction. A key focus will be on continuous innovation, developing new methodologies, and identifying and resolving potential risks through creative and cutting-edge tools and approaches.

This is a critical leadership position within a growing team, offering significant opportunities to contribute to business development, support our go-to-market approach, and solidify our position as market leaders in Contracts Transformation.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Practice Growth & Development:

Playing a key role in the growth of the Contracts Transformation service line, contributing to go-to-market initiatives, and supporting business development efforts.

Developing and implementing innovative approaches for CLM technology adoption, related transformation programmes, and advanced contracting solutions.

Identifying and pursuing new opportunities within existing and prospective client accounts.

Client Relationship Management & Advisory:
  • Managing and developing strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor on complex contracting matters.
  • Translating complex client expectations into clear, actionable, and integrated project objectives, ensuring the delivery of total solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Providing high-quality, pragmatic, clear, and commercially focused advice on complex contracting challenges.
  • Managing and influencing senior stakeholders across diverse client organisations, including procurement, legal, commercial, and IT departments, within the context of project delivery.

Programme Leadership & Delivery Excellence:
  • Leading and managing complex contracts transformation programmes, ensuring successful delivery, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Leading the design and implementation of advanced process improvement strategies related to contract lifecycle management.
  • Driving the successful implementation of contract lifecycle management software and associated operational changes.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of quality and commercial viability across all engagements.

Innovation & Thought Leadership:
  • Fostering creativity and innovation in solution design, methodology development, and service delivery within the contracts transformation space.
  • Conducting and leading research, analysis, and review of market trends and client needs to inform project approaches and service evolution.
  • Contributing to thought leadership and the development of new intellectual property to enhance existing services and anticipate future customer needs.

Team Leadership & Development:
  • Guiding and mentoring junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Leading communication within project teams and with client stakeholders, maintaining and developing relationships at appropriate levels.

  • Deep Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in Contracts tech, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms, and designing/optimising contracting process flows.
  • Creative Problem Solving: A highly creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to develop novel solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Critical Thinking & Judgement: Superior critical thinking skills, applying expert judgement to complex data and situations to produce insightful analysis and robust recommendations.
  • Communication & Influence: Outstanding ability to articulate complex ideas, strategies, and solutions clearly and persuasively to senior audiences, both internally and externally.
  • Ownership & Proactivity: A strong sense of ownership, taking initiative, and proactively driving outcomes without constant direction.
  • Resilience & Tenacity: The ability to persist and lead effectively through challenging situations, demonstrating resilience and a commitment to achieving results.
  • Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of commercial drivers, market dynamics, and the biggest challenges/opportunities facing our clients in the contracting space.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop project teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
