Role overview

We are seeking a Paralegal or Support Lawyer with at least 2 years' experience in corporate law, company secretarial work, or general corporate transactions to support our Energy & Infrastructure team on a fully remote secondment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing transactions, coordinating stakeholders and supporting lawyers on complex matters. Previous experience within a law firm, in-house legal team, company secretarial function or corporate governance environment would be highly beneficial.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, review and management of transaction and corporate documentation.
  • Coordinate workstreams and monitor key actions, deadlines and deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain transaction checklists, signing trackers and closing documents.
  • Manage document execution processes and completion requirements.
  • Liaise with lawyers, clients, company secretaries, advisers and other stakeholders to ensure matters progress smoothly.
  • Support corporate governance and company secretarial activities where required.
  • Conduct document reviews, organise large volumes of information and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide regular updates on matter progress and flag any risks or delays.
  • Assist with know-how, precedent and process improvement initiatives within the team.

Candidate requirements
  • LPC, SQE, law degree or equivalent legal qualification (including foreign-qualified lawyers).
  • At least two years' experience as a Paralegal, Support Lawyer, Company Secretary Assistant or within a corporate legal function.
  • Previous company secretarial, corporate governance or general corporate law experience is essential.
  • Experience supporting transactions, managing documentation and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
  • Available to work on a fully remote basis.
