Technology Underwriter - Cyber & Tech | London Market

I'm working with a highly regarded London Market (re)insurer that is looking to add a Technology Underwriter to its Cyber & Technology team, part of a wider Professional & Financial Risks division.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Technology or Cyber Underwriter looking to join a flexible, growth-focused platform with genuine scope to build their profile in the market.

The team manages a diverse portfolio spanning large multinationals, mid-market firms and SMEs, across international and US-domiciled risks, with a broad product suite including combined offerings (PI, Cyber, Property, EL & GL) and multinational capability through both syndicate and company capacity.

You'll take a lead role across:

• New and renewal underwriting of Technology and Cyber risks, using a technical rating model
• Managing your own renewal book in line with appetite, strategy and combined ratio targets
• Developing and owning key Technology-specific broker relationships and pipelines
• Broker and customer engagement, identifying needs and shaping solutions
• Input into new product development and refinement of the existing suite
• Ongoing competitor and market analysis, shared across the team
• Identifying new distribution and Delegated Authority/Coverholder opportunities
• Promoting the business and its Technology offering in the wider market

The business is looking for somebody with solid underwriting or broking experience within Technology and Cyber lines, strong technical knowledge of the class, and well-established relationships across the Technology broker market. Property & Casualty underwriting experience and exposure to multinational placements would both be advantageous.

Equally important will be a collegiate, team-first mentality, a proactive and entrepreneurial approach, and genuine ambition to develop your profile and career within a fast-growing part of the business.

You'll be joining a collaborative team on a platform with strong multinational capability, real investment in product development, and plenty of scope to take on broader market-facing responsibility as you grow into the role.
