Job Title: Senior Manager - Audit for Multiple Openings

Job Description:

Your day-to-day will include:

• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
• Research and analyze financial statements and audit- and tax-related issues, utilizing electronic databases.
• Employ audit software to review and compiled financial information.
• Oversee and manage audit engagements for a diverse range of clients.
• Oversee the completion of on-budget financial statement audits.
• Manage the development of audit project budgets and timelines, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and client objectives.
• Oversee and support multiple engagement teams concurrently to complete financial statement audits.
• Communicate with clients about engagement and service expectations, resolving technical and service issues quickly and thoroughly.
• Ensure key deliverables, including engagement letters, audit planning reports, audit concluding reports, and business improvement recommendations, are provided to clients on time and on budget.
• Set audit project schedules according to client needs and firm capabilities. Manage firm risk on audits and proposals.
• He will train less experienced colleagues and provide consistent feedback.
• Act as a business advisor to clients on a variety of business improvement areas. Collaborate with colleagues on proposals and business development activities.
• Consistently listen and communicate with clients about engagement and service expectations, resolving technical and service issues quickly and thoroughly.
• Balance the long-term goals of the company with the immediate needs of teams, advocating for sustainable solutions that benefit both organizations, its clients, and people.
• Lead cross-functional and cross-departmental, global collaboration, driving cohesive and transformative outcomes that enhance organization performance.
• Communicate strategic vision of the organization, presenting compelling insights that align diverse team objectives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Oversee the application of Grant Thornton's audit methodology, firm policies, and relevant audit standards (e.g. PCAOB, AICPA) to achieve high audit quality when identifying and responding to complex and/or significant audit risks.
• Resolve complex and high-priority issues related to auditing standards, including informing clients regarding key auditing standards that may impact audit scope.
• Oversee the assessment of clients' internal accounting environment and controls (e.g. policies and procedures).
• Perform internal reviews of the assessment of clients' issues, transactions, and other events that may impact audit risks.
• Develop audit approach and identify best use of internal and external resources for audit engagements.
• Provide guidance to team on how to appropriately execute the audit response.
• Review and leverage the audit results to provide key insights to clients.
• Direct team to provide relevant, accurate, high-quality documentation.
• Supervises the work of 2-6 subordinates: Audit Interns, Associates, and Senior Associates.

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

• Requirement - Three or Four Year Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Commerce, or related field, or the foreign degree equivalent.
• Relevant experience - 8 years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or any audit related job titles.
• Experience must include: (1) Planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing audits for clients in compliance with applicable IFRS, GAAS, US GAAP, and PCAOB legal and regulatory requirements; (2) Leading multiple teams across multiple clients, allocating work to staff, and managing audit engagements to budget; (3) Conducting the review and evaluation of client's business processes and planning of an audit engagement; (4) Managing audit engagements for publicly traded and private companies; (5) Preparing and participating in audit proposals; and (6) Reviewing consolidated financial statements in conformity with accounting principles; (7) DEA- A data interrogation audit software used for reviewing journal entries and audit software; (8) building and maintaining client relationships, understanding client business models, and providing value-added insights and recommendations; and (9) assessing accounting areas (revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, equity, and business combinations).
• CPA License (U.S. or other jurisdiction), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) required.
• Grant Thornton under its hybrid work policy requires all employees to mandatorily work from office for at least 3 days/week. Applicants are expected to be residing in a commutable distance to any of Grant Thornton's offices across United States to be able to comply with this requirement.
• Up to 25% domestic travel required to various client sites across the U.S. to analyze client business needs, and advise on the tailored solutions, as well as provide on-site support for critical client projects/engagements as required.

Compensation for role: $178,848 - $194,400 per year
