What you'll be doing



Responsible for providing coaching to a small team to manage workloads, working on well-defined matters and ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the department. The role provides employees with day-to-day direction and tasks in alignment with department procedures, and performs activities related to the development and implementation of procedures and practices. The role follows established policies to analyze situations, data and processes, improving the client experience by demonstrating and championing the delivery of high quality service and problem resolution to meet or exceed expectations of clients and the business. The role ensures that privacy and security of information policies are being met, and identifies and makes recommendations to improve employees' productivity, processes, tools and services.

How you'll succeed



  • Day to day manage a team of Commercial Client Banking Specialists including the following:

  • Maintain sound relations with the organization's customers by providing services before, during, and after a transaction

  • Manage and maintain customer information databases; providing product and service.

  • Develop when appropriate, conduct, and complete customized business-specific procedural

  • Recommend and implement programs to support customer needs.

  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints timely and effectively.

  • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges

  • Assist with identifying process enhancement opportunities

  • Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and standards

  • Assist with special projects as assigned by management

  • Preferred formal education: Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 5+ years in client focused role with demonstrated experience in commercial banking

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Outlook and PowerPoint) required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritize client requests

  • Leadership, coaching and foster teamwork

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
