Position Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Accountant will have primary responsibility for the accounting, analysis and reporting of various consolidated structures and help in the support of various other funds, new initiatives and ad-hoc requests.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the accounting and reporting for GCIM's various investment funds and vehicles, ensuring processes are consistent with specific partnership agreements
• Maintaining the general ledger and working with the Operations Team for automated entries and posting manual entries
• Preparing and maintaining supporting schedules and streamlining accounting processes
• Assisting in providing timely, accurate and important fund and general business reporting and analysis
• Supporting the preparation of the financial statements, providing information and support for the Firm's independent auditors in the analysis and implementation of new accounting pronouncements as needed
• Helping the Fund Accounting Team drive operational efficiencies and strong controllership throughout all processes
• Assisting in various ad-hoc projects and requests

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Relevant experience in similar business is strongly desired (private equity / leveraged finance / hedge fund or similar), public accounting background in financial services is preferred
• Excel proficiency required; proficiency in Workday Accounting Software, Wall Street Office or similar packages is a strong plus
• Excellent analytical and accounting skills
• Comfortable with a steep learning curve and seeking assistance from a strong and committed peer group
• Meticulous, detail-focused and consistently accurate
• Passion for being part of a fast-growing, small-office environment, requiring outstanding interpersonal skills, strong intellect and appropriate self-confidence
• Ability to learn and excel at day-to-day responsibilities and contribute to driving process improvement, standardization and automation
• Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI tools in day-to-day work, with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, limitations and appropriate use of AI generated outputs
