Our client is a leading alternative investment manager focused on credit-oriented strategies across consumer, residential, commercial, and specialty finance markets. The firm invests across a broad spectrum of asset classes, including whole loans, structured credit, asset-backed securities, servicing-related assets, and other opportunistic credit investments.

Our client is seeking a senior business development and origination professional to join its Financial Institutions coverage team. This individual will be responsible for developing and expanding strategic relationships with banks, specialty finance companies, credit unions, fintech lenders, and other institutional counterparties.

The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing investment opportunities and delivering capital solutions across a variety of credit strategies. Working closely with investment professionals and senior leadership, this individual will originate, structure, and execute transactions while serving as a trusted advisor to financial institution partners.

This is a highly external-facing role requiring strong relationship management skills, deep knowledge of credit markets, and a proven track record of business development and transaction execution.

• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with banks, specialty finance companies, credit unions, non-bank lenders, and other financial institutions.
• Source, originate, and execute investment opportunities across consumer, residential, commercial, and specialty finance sectors.
• Develop customized financing and capital solutions designed to address clients' balance sheet objectives, liquidity needs, and growth initiatives.
• Drive new business development efforts through targeted market coverage and relationship expansion.
• Partner closely with investment teams, capital markets professionals, and senior leadership to evaluate and structure transactions.
• Manage opportunities throughout the full lifecycle, from sourcing and due diligence through negotiation, execution, and closing.
• Maintain an active pipeline of prospective transactions and strategic partnerships.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events.
• Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and sector trends to internal stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations and investment-related materials for executive-level audiences.
• Work collaboratively across legal, finance, risk, and operational teams to facilitate successful transaction execution.

• 10+ years of experience within private credit, structured finance, investment banking (FIG), capital markets, specialty finance, or related financial services sectors.
• Demonstrated track record originating and executing transactions with financial institutions or asset originators.
• Strong understanding of consumer credit, residential mortgage, structured products, asset-backed finance, and broader credit markets.
• Experience working directly with banks, specialty finance platforms, fintech lenders, credit unions, or other institutional counterparties.
• Proven ability to develop senior-level client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or other advanced designation is a plus.
